<p>The Hulimavu police on Saturday arrested a 48-year-old man for molesting his relative at her residence in Hulimavu.<br /><br /></p>.<p>According to police, the accused Siddalingappa, a farmer, was arrested based on a complaint filed by the victim on Friday. In her complaint, the victim alleged that her uncle approached her when she was alone at her residence and said that he was possessed by some god. He tried to touch her inappropriately. <br /><br />The police arrested Siddalingappa who also resides in Hulimavu. The families of the victim and the accused are not on good terms and both have lodged several complaints against each other. Siddalingappa’s act is suspected to be an act of vengeance. <br /><br />Arrested for cheating<br />The Southeast division police have arrested a 36-year-old man for duping several people of their money promising them medical seats. <br /><br />According to police, the suspect, identified as Srinivasan V, is the managing director of AYSY Consultancy Service in HSR Layout. He claims to be running several offices in Tamil Nadu and Bengaluru. <br /><br />The police have seized 120 gram gold jewellery, two cars and Rs 5.6 lakh in cash, all totalling to Rs 1.15 crore from Srinivasan.<br /><br />K A Selvan, a resident of Salem in Tamil Nadu, had lodged a complaint alleging that Srinivasan had taken Rs eight lakh from him promising a medical seat, but failed to secure one. <br /><br />Srinivasan was tracked down based on his call details. With his arrest, the police claimed to have solved five cheating cases in Bengaluru and one in Tamil Nadu.<br />DH News Service</p>
