A sugarcane loaded lorry and a Tempo Trax collided, killing three people from Bengaluru, near Koppa Kanihalla in the Taluk on Saturday.
According to the police, S M Krishna (40) from Ramenahalli near Kumbalagod, Anwar (35) of Kengeri Upanagara and Amanulla (29), a resident of Sultanpalya, are the deceased.
They were headed to a private programme in Koudli village around 6.30 am, when the lorry collided with their vehicle, killing them on the spot and injuring others. The injured were rushed to the Koppa Hospital.
