<p> A buffalo calf was taken away from a farm shed by a leopard, in Dukkurhonda near Vadagaon village in Khanapur taluk on Tuesday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The carcass of the half eaten calf was found half-a-kilometre away from the shed, Forest officials said.<br /><br />According to Forest department officials, Ramachandra Vadkar, a farmer and a resident of Jamboti, had tethered four buffaloes including the calf inside a shed on a farm. The leopard attacked the calf as it was an easy prey, officials said. <br /><br />Expecting the wild cat to return, the Forest personnel have laid a trap by placing a cage with a dog inside it in the village. The villagers, however, claim that it was a tiger attack. <br /><br /></p>
