“My summer collections are inspired from my place, Goa. They have prints of coconut trees, beaches, sunset...that all depicting Goa. White is the theme of my collections as it isn’t loud and is loved by everyone,” said Nasir. Her show was followed by Arun Dhall, who had an Indo-Western touch to all his collections.

His collections had a mix of silk, georgette, net, heavy embroidery with fancy classy fabrics. “I have called my collections ‘Manthan’ that symbolises the elegant churn of elegance. My collections are all an inspiration from history. They are ethnic but at the same time have a Western touch,” said Arun.

Arshi Jamal was next in the line-up. Having fawn as his common feature, his works experimented with vibrant and basic colours like red, black, maroon and purple. The colourful drapes were a visual treat. Bollywood actor Ruslaan Mumtaz was the star of his show.

The stylish and excited Ruslaan said, “Bengaluru is such a nice city that I just want to find a job here and settle down. This is my second time in ‘Bangalore Fashion Week’ and it is always fun and exciting to be here among the fashionistas. I would love to take a break from my busy shoot schedule and come here every time.”

The much-awaited collections of Michelle Salins that followed, had a mix of fifties and seventies with beautiful innovations. The famous ‘Lego head’ guy playfully printed in her summer collections made a new fashion statement on the ramps.
