An Army jawan has been arrested for trying to molest a teenager in the New Delhi-Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express.
The 17-year-old girl, a student of Delhi University, was travelling along with her father D K Sharma in coach B-4 and was supposed to get down at Barauni in Bihar.
But around 3 am, the Army jawan, Ajit Singh, tried to molest the girl when she went to the toilet. The jawan, who was in an inebriated state, also entered the toilet and reportedly locked it from inside.
On seeing this, the girl shouted for help. Passengers woke up on hearing the screams, caught hold of the jawan and gave him a thrashing before handing him over to the Railway Protection Force (RPF) in Barauni. “We have arrested an Army jawan Ajit Singh from Himachal Pradesh but is posted as constable at Jabalpur.
