JOIN USThe Education department released an anthem here on Monday to spread awareness about the Right to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act.
The four-minute Kannada RTE anthem’s video song features actors Puneeth Rajkumar and Radhika Pandit.
Kimmane Ratnakar, Minister for Primary and Secondary Education, released the CD of the anthem. Adoni Syed Saleem, State Project Director (SPD), Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Karnataka, Mohammed Mohsin, Commissioner for Public Instruction and other education officials were present.
“There is a one-minute version of the song that would be given to various media outlets such as TV and radio channels. The anthem will be made available to all the schools across the State,” said Adoni Syed Saleem, State Project Director, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Karnataka.
Around 94,000 such CDs will be distributed across the State and it will also be a prominent feature in the DPI’s programs. This song will also be used as a caller tune on phone numbers of educational officials in future, officials said.
