Anticipatory bail to OMC manager

Last Updated 08 January 2010, 17:45 IST

In a criminal petition, Anjaneya had challenged the complaint of cheating against him filed by the company authorities at Kaul Bazaar Police Station in Bellary City.

In its complaint, OMC had alleged that the petitioner had on behalf of the company taken Rs 150 lakh from B V Srinivas Reddy who owns BVSR Energy systems for distribution to various companies, but the payments never reached those companies.
According to the complaint, the petitioner had hid the money in his daughter’s house in Bangalore.

The petitioner denied the allegation and said he is being harassed by the company authorities. He further submitted that though he had resigned from the post of manager of OMC, the company has not accepted his resignation.

Justice A S Pacchapure, who heard the matter, has granted interim anticipatory bail for 10 days and has directed Anjaneya to approach the jurisdictional court for regular bail.
