<p>Snapping its five-day losing streak, the benchmark BSE Sensex recovered over 55 points in early trade today on the back of fresh buying in bluechips.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The 30-share index, which had lost 830.80 points in the previous five sessions, recovered by 55.75 points, or 0.19 per cent, to 28,906.72.<br /><br />Heavy buying in stocks of capital goods, consumer durables, IT, realty and oil & gas sectors, led the recovery.<br /><br />On similar lines, the National Stock Exchange index Nifty went up by 10.25 points, or 0.11 per cent, to 8,721.95.<br /><br />Brokers said emergence of buying at prevailing lower levels in bluechips helped key indices to trade in positive zone.<br /><br />Besides, a mixed trend at other Asian markets influenced sentiments here, they added.<br />Among other Asian markets, Hong Kong's Hang Seng was down by 0.21 per cent, while Japan's Nikkei was up by 0.58 per cent in early trade today.<br /><br />The US Dow Jones Industrial Average ended 1.20 per cent higher in yesterday's trade.</p>
