A 26-year-old labourer fell to death while trying to board a moving train in City railway station on Friday.
The police have identified the deceased as Shafiqullah, a native of Assam and was working as a labourer in Chennai.
Around 10.30 pm, he tried boarding the moving Bangalore-Guwahati Express, slipped and fell down. Shafiqullah suffered serious head injuries in the incident. He was shifted to Victoria Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
A case has been registered in City Railway police.
