Last Updated 13 February 2015, 18:43 IST

The traffic police created a green corridor on Friday morning between Anekal and Bengaluru for over five hours to facilitate smooth movement of ambulances, rescue vehicles and vehicles of fire and emergency services.

“We created a green corridor to ensure smooth passage of ambulances, rescue vehicles and vehicles of fire and emergency services, so that they could reach their destinations quickly,” Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic and Safety) B Dayananda told Deccan Herald.

The police deployed additional forces on roads to ensure free passage to ambulances that took the victims to different hospitals in the City. They also diverted heavy goods vehicles towards NICE Road to clear the way for emergency vehicles, he said.
