Congress leader Shashi Tharoor appeared before the Delhi Police yet again on Friday afternoon in connection with the mysterious death of his wife Sunanda Pushkar.

This was the third time in 24 hours he was meeting the cops.

Tharoor was quizzed twice on Thursday—for almost five hours in the afternoon and two hours at night—by a joint grouping from the special investigation team (SIT) and the Economic Offences Wing (EOW). The police had earlier examined the former Union minister on January 19.

Police said Tharoor has submitted over 5,000 GB data from his personal emails and laptops to investigators. A majority of the data contains Tharoor’s communication details over the past five years, which will now be examined for clues. On Friday, Tharoor turned up at Sarojini Nagar police station in south Delhi once again to inform investigators that he was leaving for Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala for a book launch event. Tharoor flew to Kerala from Indira Gandhi International Airport at around 2 pm.
