Last Updated 17 February 2015, 17:03 IST

Aero Superbatics, the world’s only aerobatic formation wingwalking team will be there to enthrall Bengalureans for the first time, at Aero India 2015. The UK-based team have been specialists in display flying for over 27 years and operate one of the best known and loved civilian air display acts in Europe.

This world-renowned wingwalking team has performed at over 2,500 different events successfully representing several large brand names. The wingwalkers claim that they are seen live by over six million spectators each year in the UK alone.

The team performs a breathtaking sequence of acrobatic manoeuvres and handstands whilst strapped to the top wings of the team's Boeing Stearman biplanes. The team pilots fly the aircraft through a well rehearsed energetic routine of dazzling aerobatics and close formation flypasts as the wingwalkers wave at the crowd. These manoeuvres include, loops, rolls, stall turns and even inverted flight! During all of this, the wingwalkers experience speeds of up to 150 mph and 'G' forces of up to 4G!

The Aero Superbatics are often seen on local, national and international TV channels beamed from the United Kingdom. The wing walkers are safely tethered to their Boeing Stearman biplanes, but here’s what the pilots say: “The glamour, spectacle, sounds and atmosphere is just the same as it was when young and brave Ormer Locklear went for a dramatic 10ft stroll along the wing of his warplane in 1918.”
