'Miscommunication' causes inconvenience to disabled

A subsidiary of Central Child Welfare Department had identified a total of 1,600 disabled persons last year and assured them of providing aiding equipments free of cost. The Youth Congress had taken the initiative.

The equipment had reached Koppa two months ago but MLA D N Jeevaraj had ordered seizure of the equipment. However, they were approved later since they were proper from all aspects. The District Youth Congress had publicised that the equipment will be given to the needy on Sunday. In the meantime, the Child Development Officer had announced that the programme has been cancelled. However, this announcement did not come to the notice of the many. All such people need to return with bare hands. 

District Youth Congress President Sachin Meega and others seen consoling the people and asking them to come on an alternative date which would be announced later. Disabled persons hailing from about 40-45 kms returned to their place cursing the govt.
