Palace Board Deputy Director T S Subramanya, on Friday, hailed late royal scion Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar as a man of rare personality.
Addressing a gathering during the 62nd birth anniversary celebrations of Wadiyar, organised at Arasu Mandali in the city, Subramanya said: “Wadiyar spent most of his life lending ears to others’ problems and guiding them”.
It was due to Wadiyar that I learnt most of the things about managing the Palace affairs. Besides, he was apprising the board about coordination with various agencies.
Corporator B V Manjunath said: “Wadiyars are immortalised due to their contribution to the welfare of the erstwhile Mysore State with various developmental works like KRS dam, canals, gardens, factories among others”.
Arasu Mandali president B S Sridharraje Urs described Srikantadatta Wadiyar as a talented person, who had gained enormous knowledge in sports, music and other fields.
