An action forum of dalit organisations demanding that State Congress president G Parameshwara be made the chief minister, on Monday, decided to launch a State-wide agitation from February 24 in order to mount pressure on the Congress high command.
Speaking to reporters, N Murthy of Dalit Sangharsha Samiti (DSS) said the forum has decided to stage protest in all districts. It will start in Ballari district on February 24 and end in Bengaluru with a public rally. The forum will continue its protest until the Congress fulfils its demand, he added.
