BSNL, MTNL, Videocon plan to cut call rates

With the slashing of interconnection charges by telecom regulator Trai, operators BSNL, MTNL, and Videocon said they are working on reducing call rates.

“Removal of fixed termination charges will help BSNL serve its customer better. We will come up with better offers in the next financial year. Customers will have more affordable services,” BSNL CMD Anupam Shrivastav said.

 “It would be highly appreciated if Trai also reduces termination charges on SMS,” MTNL CMD PK Purwar said.
