JD(S) leader and former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy said the State urgently needs to prepare a comprehensive road plan in the City.
Reacting to the accident that killed two at Kempapura Junction in Hebbal on Thursday, he said the government is talking about development without envisaging a proper road plan.
“During my tenure, I had convinced a contractor to build an underground road from BEL Circle to Hebbal junction. However, the proposal was shot down by the BJP during their period. If such properly planned projects are laid down, there will be some respite for pedestrians,” he said.
