Mobile phone blast victim develops lung infection

 Seetharam, the 18-year-old youth from Bihar, who was injured in the mobile phone blast incident and is undergoing treatment at the JSS Hospital here, has developed lung infection.

The doctors are waiting for the infection to clear, to conduct another round of plastic surgery. Though the infection is not severe, given the injuries he has sustained, it cannot be ignored, doctors said. Seetharam has been consuming water orally, which is a sign of improvement.

Help is pouring in from various quarters for Seetharam. An engineering college, a software company with its branch in Bengaluru and an NGO, have come forward by donating money to the hospital.

Seetharam suffered severe injuries on the lower part of his face, at his makeshift house at Kadaballi in Mandya district, on February 3. He was a construction worker and worked along with his father.
