The Karnataka Examinations Authority has received a total of 1,58,073 applications for CET 2015.
As many as 82,305 boys and 75,768 girls have applied for this year’s common entrance test. Among them, 1,44,940 students are from PU stream, about 9,101 students are from CBSC/CISCE and 4,032 applications are from outside Karnataka candidates.
For the first time, KEA took online applications for CET this year.
The number of applications this year has gone up by more than 15,000. Last year, 1,40,496 candidates had applied for the entrance test.
The entrance test scores determines the admissions for State government seats in professional courses including engineering, architecture, medical, dental, ayurveda, unani and naturopathy, agriculture and allied courses.
