The Delhi government on Sunday announced plans to set up quick response teams to keep vigil on crime against women and set up fast-track courts in line with suggestions made by a panel set up after the December 16, 2012 gangrape.

All MLAs and officers will be imparted training to ensure safety of women, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia announced on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

At a function organised by the Department of Women of Child Development, Sisodia said fast-track courts will soon be set up in all district courts to ensure speedy justice in cases of crime against women.

Sisodia also released and uncovered the annual report of the Delhi Commission for Women for 2014. He felicitated five women for their outstanding services with Zila Mahila Samman.
