<p>Karnataka Dalit Sangharsha Samithi State Convenor Mavalli Shankar has urged the government to bring amendments to Karnataka Scheduled Castes Sub-Plan and Tribal Sub-Plan (Planning, Allocation and Utilisation of Financial Resources), Act, 2013. <br /><br /></p>.<p>Briefing reporters, he said, Section 7 (D) of the Act should be scrapped. <br /><br />The section gives scope for misuse of funds. About Rs 6,000 crore has already been misutilised citing this section of the act in 2014-15. <br /><br />The bill was passed to prevent diversion of funds and spending of allocated funds for schemes directly benefiting SC and ST population. The chief secretary should be made ex-officio member of the implementation panel. <br /><br /></p>
