Reacting to Siddaramaiah’s recent “2 idiots” remark against Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa and him, he told reporters in Bangalore that people of the State are ‘well aware of the idiot who quit the JD(S) and who desperately begged the Congress high command for an appropriate position.’
Asked to comment on ‘not switched on yet’ Siddaramaiah’s another remark on him, Eshwarappa retorted, “The entire country is facing power shortage. Should we call the Union Power Minister in the same way? Should we call AICC President Sonia Gandhi in the same way for taking the decision against the State’s interest on Mahadayi river issue?”
‘I still respect him’
Nevertheless, Eshwarappa said he will continue to address Siddaramaiah with respect as he is a senior leader.
‘We too have diabetics’
On JD(S) leader Kumaraswamy defending his father Deve Gowda’s caustic remark on Chief Minister saying that he is diabetic and aged, the minister said there is no excuse for using unparliamentary language. The former chief minister should be aware that the BJP too has several aged and diabetic leaders.
