<p>Sending across a strong message to all the women who look up to the government and society for their safety, a 20-year old Mass Media student dragged her molester by hair and handed him over to the railway police in Mumbai yesterday, reported <a href="http://www.mid-day.com/articles/mumbai-crime-fearless-girl-stands-up-to-molester-drags-him-to-cops/16074168#sthash.SKd7JzPA.gbpl">Mid-Day.com.</a><br /><br /></p>.<p>Pradnya Mandhare, a third year student of Mass Media at Sathaye College in Vile Parle, was waiting at the Kandivli station to board a train to Borivli at around 2:30 pm.<br /><br />Soon, a drug addict walked up to her and tried to touch her in an inappropriate way.<br /><br />At first, she was shocked. But soon, she mustered courage and confronted her molester.<br />The molester tried to grab her and hit her, but she didn't give up.<br /><br />She thrashed him using her bag, grabbed his hair and dragged him to the Government Railway Police (GRP) station.<br /><br />“Most women are scared of approaching the police as filing a complaint is a lengthy process. But, I was firm on taking that man to the police,” she said.<br /><br />The young fighter also revealed that there were scores of people at the platform who were merely watching the entire incident, but no one stepped forward to help her.<br />"People stopped to stare, but no one bothered to even ask what was going on," Pradnya told Mid-Day.<br /><br />A brave 20-year-old Pradnya Mandhare urges women to be strong enough to protect themselves and report to police when such incidents take place.<br /><br />“Every woman should fight back in such cases and they should not keep quiet. Women are not objects for anyone to touch at will,” she said.</p>
