Instrumental duet concert at Ganabharathi

Ganabharathi, Mysuru, has organised ‘Veena-Venu Ninada’, an instrumental duet concert at Veene Seshanna Bhavana, Adichunchanagiri Road, Kuvempunagar, on March 27 at 6 pm.

Nagarathna and Sashidhar will present veena and flute recital respectively, accompanied by A Radhesha on mridanga and T A Ramanujan on morching.

Flutist S A Sashidhar is a Physics honours graduate and an MA (Music) from the Bangalore University. Trained under M R Doraiswamy, H V Krishnamurthy and Anoor Ramakrishna,
Sashidhar has performed at many prestigious music sabhas. He has trained many students in Music at Vijaya College of Music, Bengaluru since two decades.

Nagarathna, wife of Sashidhar, has given many veena-venu duet concerts with the latter. She has been trained under Venkateshaiah, Rajalakshmi Tirunarayan and Anoor S Ramakrishna. A postgraduate in Music from Bangalore University, she is serving as the principal of Ananthakrishna Sangeetha Vidyalaya, Bengaluru.
