JOIN USA man was murdered by his son’s friend in Hanumanthapura slum in Srirampura on Thursday night.
The deceased is Gunashekar(50), a bar bender by profession. The accused Satish alias Satya (33) and Gunashekar’s son Karthik(20) also worked as bar benders and were residing in Hanumanthpura “A few days ago, Satya had asked Karthik to get him a drink from a nearby bar. Karthik got enraged and warned Satya against using him for such jobs and both had indulged in a heated argument and fight. But they had compromised,” said the police.
But Karthik went around the area talking about this. Satya heard people talking ill of him and felt insulted. On Thursday around 9.30 pm, Satya started arguing with Karthik again.
Around 10.30 pm, an inebriated Satya went to Karthik's house and asked for him. Gunashekhar told him that Karthik was not at home.
Satya asked Gunashekar to advise his son. Gunashekar asked him to leave the place and mind his business. Satya grew furious and stabbed Gunashekar in his stomach and fled the spot,” added the police.
Family members rushed Gunashekar to Victoria hospital but he succumbed to injuries on Friday morning. Police have arrested Satya and a case has been registered, said a senior police officer.
