JOIN USA minor boy, who murdered a 35-year-old security guard at Rajmahal Vilas (RMV) Extension II Stage in the early hours of Friday, was arrested within 24 hours of committing the crime.
According to the police, the 15-year-old boy, a native of Kalaburagi, was residing at Nagashettyhalli in the City.
He was working as a daily wage labourer. He murdered Mahalingappa, a watchman at a guesthouse belonging to Khadi Bhandar, as he was against Mahalingappa’s illegal affair with his aunt.
The minor used to visit his aunt’s house located in RMV Extension.He was also aware that Mahalingappa had an affair with her for the past two months. He did not like them being in a relationship.

Around 1 am on Friday, he noticed Mahalingappa coming out of his aunt’s house. He followed him for a few kilometres and picked a quarrel with him. In a fit of rage, he picked up a broken branch of a tree, attacked Mahalingappa and fled. Mahalingappa died of severe head injuries, the police said.
Passersby who noticed the body informed the police. The police formed a special team and started questioning people known to the victim. They were informed about the minor and his frequent visits to his aunt’s house.
Based on suspicion, the police interrogated the boy, who confessed to the murder.
