Aam Aadmi Party leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday constituted a committee headed by Sanjay Singh for “ascertaining the current status of organisation in different states”. The committee is likely to work towards consolidating the support base of the Kejriwal faction across the country.

This is supposed to be an exercise by the party leadership to control the damage from the open factional war.

The panel has been given 15 days to prepare a report on the current situation of organisational status in different states.

“This report will form the basis for the road ahead, including the state of preparation for contesting elections, if any, in future,” the Aam Aadmi Party said after a meeting at the residence of the Delhi chief minister.

In another decision which will help Kejriwal show his strength, he formed a committee to pursue the fight against Land Bill.

Both the announcements were made after the meeting of the National Executive held at Kejriwal's official residence.

The National Executive decided to constitute a six-member committee for supervising the preparations for this programme. lyas Azmi, Prem Singh Pahari, Yogesh Dahiya, Somendra Dhaka, Gurnam Singh and Kiran Bissa have been appointed as members of the committee. The party said that the committee has been formed to implement the decision of the National Council.
