Four killed in two mishaps

Four persons, including two women and a two-year-old boy, were killed while two others sustained injuries in two separate mishaps, in the taluk, on Sunday.

In the first incident, the victims have been identified as Hina Banu (21) and her elder sister Najma Banu (25) and Adnan (2). They were killed instantaneously. Hina Banu is the wife of Wasim Ahmad alias Papu, a resident of Hunsur town. The couple were travelling to Mysuru, along with Banu’s sisters Najma and Ajma Hina and her children Suhana and Adnan, in the car, to attend a marriage function. Wasim Ahmad was driving the car.

The car turned turtle on the road as the rear tyre burst. Wasim and Suhana sustained injuries. They were rushed to a private hospital in Mysuru. Circle Inspector Dharmendra visited the spot. Bilekere Police have registered a case.

In another incident, daily wage labourer Raghu Nayak (25), a resident of Chikkahunsur, was killed on the spot as the motorbike he was riding collided head on with a KSRTC bus and came under it at Maji Gurupura, near the Government School. He was bound for H D Kote, while the bus was bound for Hunsur from Gundlupet via Begur. Hunsur Rural Police have registered a case.
