Koli Fayaz's son, associates held

The Central Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths arrested a gang of three members, including the son of notorious rowdy Koli Fayaz, on Wednesday on charges of hatching a plan to kill a rowdy.

According to CCB police, they arrested Ameer Khan alias Pappu, (30), son of Koli Fayaz and a resident of Shivajinagar, and his associates Asif alias Mental, 31, a resident of  Saraipalya and Roshan alias Zameer, 33, a resident of Chandini Chowk in Shivajinagar. Two others, Mudassir and Muneer, managed to escape.

The police said they received an information that the three armed with weapons were waiting near Dickenson Road to attack their rivals. The police went in mufti and rounded up the gang and managed to arrest three of them while the other two escaped. They also seized the weapons from them.

During the interrogation, they revealed that they had planned to attack Azam Khan alias Brigade Azam due to an old rivalry. The arrested are also rowdy-sheeters and have several cases against them in various police station in the City, added the police.
