<p>Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday said the NDA government did not have majority in the Rajya Sabha to bring the legislation for Ram Temple in the Parliament.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The minister’s remark was questioned on whether the Centre would consider bringing a legislation in the Parliament to pave way for the construction of Ram Temple at Ayodhya. “We do not have majority in the Rajya Sabha,” Singh said in Ayodhya.<br /><br />“The HC has already given its verdict in the matter...we should wait for the judgment of the Supreme Court,” the minister added. Singh, however, evaded a direct reply when asked if the government would consider the same if it got majority in the Upper House.<br /><br />Vishwa Hindu Parishad has been demanding a parliamentary legislation for the construction of Ram Temple on the disputed land at Ayodhya.<br /><br />Singh said Prime Minister Narendra Modi would soon visit Ayodhya for ‘darshan’ (paying obeisance) at the makeshift Ram Temple at Ayodhya.</p>
