PU academic calendar for 2015-16 announced

Amidst a rush to join pre university courses following announcement of the SSLC results in the state on May 12, the Department of Pre University Education (DPUE) has released the schedule for PUC classes for the academic year 2015-16.

The department has requested the students to make use of the official format of the applications only, which is available on the department website www.pue.kar.nic.in and can be taken from the colleges as well. Colleges have been requested not to issue any other application apart from the officially prescribed form.

As per the schedule of the department, the educational year 2015-16 begins on June 1, 2015 and concludes on March 31, 2016. By May 14, every college has been asked to display the number of seats (as approved by the DPUE for the college), on college notice board or website/ flex board. College principals have to submit the seat list to the DPUE Director and to the DDPUs.

The last date for issuing applications to students for admissions to I PUC courses is 18 May. Further, the last date for receiving filled application forms is 23 May and the first list of selected candidates has to be put up by 27 May.

The selected candidates have to pay the fees before May 30. The second list will be announced by June 5 and the last date for payment of fee for students selected under this list is June 9. The third list of candidates has to be displayed by June 13 and the fee for the same has to be paid by June 17.

The colleges have to announce the cut off marks for the final list of candidates by June 22. Following this, they have to publish the final list of all students selected in their college by June 27. The classes for I PUC will commence from 15 June.

Those who have applied for revaluation will have time to join colleges till August 8, a release from the department stated.
