JOIN USA man made away with a bag containing Rs 4.5 lakh cash after diverting attention of a businessman near Bannerghatta main road on Wednesday morning.
According to the police, the victim Rakesh, a granite businessman, was carrying a bag containing cash of Rs 4.5 lakh from his residence, and was sitting next to the driver in his car.
As they were going towards the bank to deposit the cash, a man riding a two-wheeler approached them and told them that one of the rear wheels of the car was punctured.
Both Rakesh and the driver got down leaving the cash bag in the car to check the tyre. They noticed that air was less in one of the rear wheels. They opened the utility box to take out the spare wheel.
When Rakesh came back, he noticed the cash bag missing. He also found that the stranger had disappeared. He alerted the driver and they went around looking for the stranger, but he had disappeared. They approached the police and registered a case.
