Basu home to become an archive

Demand has increasingly been growing to turn Indira Bhavan into an archive or a museum on the legend.

Both Ramola Chakraborty  and Joykrishna Ghosh, Basu’s personal assistant for years, feel that the idea “is excellent and should be implemented.”

Indira Bhavan which is extremely fortified, presently falls under the Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority  which is under the aegis of the urban development ministry.
 “The demand for transforming Bhavan into a museum has been raised by many people,” observed urban development minister Ashok Bhattacherya,” I believe the concept is good and it should happen.
