<p>The Central Crime Branch sleuths have arrested two persons and seized narcotic substance valued at Rs 30 lakh on Friday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Based on the information gathered from sources, Vasan, 34, a native of Rayapete in Chennai and Raju Gandhi, a native of Malur and a resident of Guttahalli in Vyalikaval, were arrested and one kg of Amphetamine valued at Rs 30 lakh, was seized from them.<br /><br />During interrogation, the duo revealed that they received narcotics from Venugopal in Chennai. They were planning to distribute the same here among a group of people, to be further sold to customers. <br /><br />They approached those belonging to weaker sections and instructed them to sell the drugs for a certain price. <br /><br />Ramesh, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Crime, said: “We have collected information on the people involved in the racket and a team will be formed to nab them. They often targeted youths and sold the drugs at a higher price.” <br /><br />A case has been registered at the Vyalikaval police station and investigations are on.<br /></p>
