Quite like the brick-throwing traffic cop, another Delhi Policeman has been accused of excesses by a woman vaastu consultant from west Delhi who has dragged him to court for staging a “marriage” and later threatening her and their one-year-old son.

Pooja Taneja, a 36-year-old consultant, has now sought help from the Delhi High Court to bare her “husband” inspector Rajkumar’s misdeeds of “marrying” her despite already having a wife and allegedly threatening her and their two-year-old biological son of dire consequences.

Taking note of Rajouri Garden resident Taneja’s plea, Justice S P Garg has summoned by July 13 all records of a trial court which dismissed her plea to prove with pictures and video that her “influential husband” – married her with Hindu rituals in June 2012.

Inspector Rajkumar, currently posted in west Delhi, along with police chief B S Bassi and Assistant Commissioner of Police (West), have been named as respondents by Pooja in her high court petition alleging that senior police officers were protecting her “husband” due to which no FIR had been registered on her complaints till date. The vaastu consultant, who was a divorcee at the time of “marrying” Rajkumar,  said in her petition that after she discovered that her “husband” was already married to Sushma and had two sons aged 16 and 11, she confronted Rajkumar. He avoided answers and later threatened her and her family members of dire consequences, she said in the petition. Alleging violent attacks by Rajkumar in July last year, she alleged in her petition that he even transferred Rs 9 lakh in her bank account and forced her to sign a memorandum of understanding as “one-time settlement” in August 2014.When she sought full legal rights for their biological son, Rajkumar threatened her  with his relatives, the petition said. On August 29 2014, she met the police chief over the threats and he agreed to give her two personal security officers who are still protecting her, she said. She alleged a notice sent to his known official address in Pashchim Vihar was returned with post department’s remarks “refused by wife”.   Taneja came in contact with Rajkumar in 2012 when he was posted as station house officer in Moti Nagar and interacted with him over lodging a complaint against a friend.

Rajkumar “married” Pooja on June 7, 2012 in the presence of her sister and niece at a small private family function. He started living with her in a flat in Rajouri Garden and sometimes stayed in office citing official work. Their son was born in 2013 after one “forced” abortion inflicted on her by her inspector “husband”, she alleged.
