Last Updated 23 May 2015, 04:36 IST

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday said he had directed the Minister for Primary and Secondary Education, Kimmane Ratnakar, to address issues raised by parents about anomalies in evaluation of II PUC answer sheets.

“Parents need not get panic. The State government will address their concerns immediately,” he promised.

The chief minister, who was here to attend the marriage reception of the Congress general secretary in charge of Karnataka Digvijay Singh’s son, told reporters that he directed Ratnakar to meet the parents and try to hear their problems and address them properly.

Siddaramaiah also said he would expand his Cabinet soon after the gram panchayat elections which would get over by the end of this month.

On the State government’s stand on appealing the Karnataka High Court verdict acquitting Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha in a disproportionate assets case, the chief minister said Karnataka was still studying the matter.
