Tipu goes beyond books

The three-day exhibition of historical records and photographs is organised by the Department of State Archives at Devanahalli, Tipu’s birthplace.

The exhibition has on display  life history of Tipu, genological tree, his policies and details of the books in his library, including rocket science technology. The exhibition which concludes on January 21, will also feature guest lectures by eminent scholars from all over the world.
Earlier, inaugurating the show, Labour Minister Bache Gowda said the government proposed to develop a park in Tipu’s name at the historical site, for which Rs 15 lakh had been sanctioned.
