According to the Srirampuram police, Ravikumar, an auto consultant, tormented his wife Seema and had even labelled her mentally unstable.
Soon after she delivered a baby boy, he separated her from the child. He, along with his family members, allegedly ill-treated and tortured her. She was only used for household chores, the police said.
On January 13, around 6.10 am, asking her to dry the clothes, they ordered her to go to the terrace and allegedly pushed her from there.
She landed on some stones below. For nearly two hours, Seema was unattended and later the family shifted her to a private hospital and disappeared.
According to Seema’s parents, they threatened to kill her child, if she dared to tell the truth, the police added. However, Seema’s parents told the police that Narayan, Ravikumar’s brother, was the one who pushed Seema from the terrace.
Girl hangs self
A 19-year-old girl hanged herself at her Rajarajeshwari Nagar residence on Wednesday. Jyothi was a resident of Jaware Gowdana Doddi.
