Speeding trains mow down two

Two men were killed and one suffered serious injuries in separate incidents after they came under the wheels of a speeding train.

Arul Das, 60, an astrologer, was killed on the spot after he was hit by a train on Monday morning in KR Puram railway station limits. The accident occurred at around 9 am. Das was suffering from hearing impairment, the police said.  

In another incident, a 23-year-old youth was mowed down by a moving train, while his younger brother suffered grievous injuries in Baiyappanahalli railway station limits on Saturday morning.
The victim was identified as V Harish. His brother V Naresh, 21, is being treated at Vaidehi Hospital, said the police.
