<p>The Maharashtra government’s law and judiciary department and the home department have no records of the September 28, 2002, drunken-driving and hit-and-run case involving actor Salman Khan.</p>.<p><br />Apparently, the records were destroyed in 2012 fire in Mantralaya, which engulfed a significant portion of the law and judiciary department as well as the home department.<br /><br />A Right to Information application by activist Mansoor Darvesh denied partial information stating that the documents related to the case were lost in the fire “therefore, it cannot be made available”.<br /><br />Darvesh had asked for total expenditure incurred during the case — from 2002 till the judgment day of May 6.<br /></p>
