The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has decided to disapprove all those teachers’ education institutions which continue to function in temporary accommodations without moving to permanent premises, even after the lapse of three-year time limit. These colleges will not be authorised to function from the current academic session.
Recently the Southern Regional Committee of the Council had a meeting where decisions were taken in this regard. All the admission and affiliation authorities were asked not to permit any admission in such institutions with effect from the new academic session . The council has cautioned the students and their parents against joining such institutions, which are functioning in temporary accommodations.
