<p>JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy, on Monday, criticized chief minister’s projects for the city, by saying that Siddaramaiah had no vision for Bengaluru city development and his frequent city tours were only contributing to the traffic problem.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Speaking to reporters in Bengaluru, he told Deccan Herald: “The chief minister has not taken any measures to upgrade infrastructure in Bengaluru in the last two years. His frequent city tours are nothing but a poll gimmick and are only aggravating the traffic problem.” The people of Bengaluru have lost hope on this government, he added.<br /><br />Peripheral ring road<br />The work peripheral ring road, proposed in 2006-07, has not moved an inch forward so far but the cost of the project has shot up from Rs 5,000 crore to Rs 8,900 crore. <br /><br />The chief minister has now announced to construct three elevated roads in the City and yet has not revealed the source of money for these projects which is a clear indication that the elevated road projects will meet the same fate as peripheral ring road, Kumaraswamy said.<br /> </p>
