MLC visits Pragathi PU college

MLC V S Ugrappa with a team of senior officials from of Education and Police departments on Monday visited Pragathi PU college in Kadugodi where a second PU student was shot dead by the school attender.

He took stock of measures taken by the school to ensure the safety of children.

“I have asked school authorities to furnish details on several issues concerning the safety of children at school by tomorrow. We have found a number irregularities at the school”he said.

Ugrappa is the chairman of a 29-member committee constituted by the government recently to look into the increasing cases of abuse against women and children at schools.
