False fire alarm causes tension at UB City

The incident occurred when thick smoke started billowing out from a hotel on the fourth floor, triggering the fire alarm in the building.

A few persons immediately alerted the fire personnel, who rushed to the spot. Officials said that the incident occurred due to a blocked chimney that was preventing the smoke from going out and the hotel staff were setting things right. But, those who noticed the smoke presumed that there was a major fire mishap.
