Seven industrial projects cleared

The State High-level Clearance Committee meeting chaired by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday cleared seven industrial projects worth about Rs 2,948 crore.

In-principle approval has been given to Himatsingka Seide Ltd to set up a textile unit in Hassan district at a cost of Rs 1,325 crores; Stelis Bio Pharma Pvt Ltd to set up its shop near Doddaballapur in Bengaluru Rural district; a sugar factory by Harsha Sugars Ltd in Belagavi district at a costThe State High-level Clearance Committee meeting chaired by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday cleared seven industrial projects worth about Rs 2,948 crore. of Rs 213 crore; Auric Industries Ltd to invest Rs 156.25 crore in the energy sector in Raichur and establishment of  a brewery at Nanjangud (Mysuru district) by Cheers Breweries with an investment of Rs 107.50 crore.

These projects, if implemented, will create about 3,532 employment opportunities.
The State government has decided to organise the much-delayed Global Investors' Meet (GIM) between November 23 and 25 in Bengaluru. The Industries and Commerce Department is drawing up a plan to conduct roadshows across the globe to invite investors to the State.

Additional Chief Secretary to Commerce and Industries Department K Ratna Prabha said that Nestle had stopped production of its controversial snack, Maggie, at its Nanjangud unit following a ban imposed by the government.
