It’s all in the family. But veteran Kannada actor CP Yogeshwar’s daughter Nisha Yogeshwar concedes that it’s not easy being the daughter of an actor. After her entry into Kannada films sometime ago, she says that she hasn’t signed too many Kannada projects because she was busy launching her own music production company and shooting for her first music video.

Now working from Mumbai, Nisha says she always wanted her company to get into producing music for the Kannada film industry. She has teamed up with singer and songwriter Aditya Jella who has earlier worked in films such as ‘Go Goa Gone’ and ‘Happy Ending’. She says that he was more than happy to collaborate with her on the new project. “The video features me and Aditya as lead characters and talks about relationships in the new age. Aditya is the singer and both of us decided to act in the video because it helps convey our emotions and thoughts in a better way,” explains Nisha.

Nisha says that she always yearned to do something different apart from working in Kannada films. She points out that the expectations are high. “It is very difficult to carve an identity for yourself,” she says. However, she is inspired by her father’s determination and hard work to excel in everything.

The actress has been listening to a couple of Kannada film scripts but hasn’t got down to signing any scripts just yet. Ask her why and she says, “I wanted more space to explore the right kind of role in Kannada films. I’ve been getting a lot of calls but I don’t want to act in just about any random script just to be visible. It has to be worth my time and effort,” she says.

In addition to acting, she also wants to explore the singer in her. “I want to start singing as well and take my music production company forward,” she says.
