Following the investigation, it is concluded that ‘the management has no involvement in the missing incident and the death of the child’.

According to society president Fr Santhosh, “This is the statement made by the management of the Pushpa School in Periyapatna after due investigation carried out, voluntarily, into this incident”.

According to the press note, issued by Fr Santhosh, the management has sought to cooperate with the Police, saying, “If anyone from our institution is found involved in any way in this case, let the law take its course. The principal, management, staff and the students are totally helpless in the incident. Therefore we request the Police department to carry out a thorough and impartial probe”.

Sanmith, a student of LKG, had gone missing on June 10 after going to the school. His body was found in a pond, near the school, on June 12, triggering suspicion behind the nature of his death. Periyapatna police have registered a murder case.
