Nominations to boards before Palike elections

The ruling Congress is likely to complete the process of nominating directors to various boards and corporations before the announcement of BBMP elections.

Sources in the State Congress said KPCC president G Parameshwara and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah have already finalised names for majority of the directors' posts. 

Both the leaders held a meeting at a hotel late on Monday evening for finalising a list for this purpose. 

They are likely to hold another round of meeting on Wednesday. The State Election Commission is likely to announce the elections by the end of this week, the sources added.
