KSRP cop killed in hit-and-run accident

In a-hit-and-run case, a head constable attached to the Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP) died after a lorry ran him over near Seegehalli bus stand in Whitefield traffic police station limits on Thursday. 

Raju Singh was riding to Hosakete on a two-wheeler when the lorry, said to be speeding, rear-ended him and sped off. The incident occurred around 1 pm. Singh sustained serious head injuries and was taken to a hospital where he was admitted to the ICU.

But he succumbed to the injuries three hours later, the police said and added that they had launched a manhunt for the lorry driver. The deceased was living with his wife and two children at Belur. A case has been registered at the Whitefield traffic police station.
