The banned National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) Songbhijit faction has seen a leadership change, with the banned militants groups dissolving its interim national council and forming a full-fledged national council, where the chief of the group K Songbhijit has been dropped.
Experts feel this is a major setback for Songbhijit who was also one of the founders of the United Liberation front of Western Southeast Asia (UNFLW) along with the ULFA (I) chief Paresh Barua and NSCN (K) Supremo S S Khaplang.
